I have been a member of the CPC since 2000 working in intaglio and relief printing. My own working process often involves non-traditional solutions to resolving printed images, combining collage, painting and drawing with etching and relief. This approach is balanced by my firm grounding in technique - as a student at Iowa I focused on the intaglio tradition of drypoint, engraving and etching.
I have been teaching at Harrington Institute of Interior Design since the fall of 2000 and have previously taught at the University of Iowa, the University of Michigan, Grand Valley State University, The Hyde Park Art Center and, of course the CPC (Inklings!).Currently the administrative head of the Foundations courses at Harrington, I also teach Drawing Techniques, Two-Dimensional Design and Three-Dimensional Design there. |
